Using 3D skin model, a proof-of-concept study demonstrates how #bacteria on skin surface leads to significant changes of thousands of genes, secretion of cytokines and growth factors.

The model gained first insights on the microbiome’s influence on skin #xenobiotic#metabolism and #olfactory receptor expression.
