Coronavirus: Thousands of Covid patients to have genome studied

Another study funded by Genomics EnglandIllumina has received £28 million (US $34.4 million) in funding to sequence whole #genomes of 20,000 people with #covid2019 who need intensive care treatment and 15,000 people with the disease who exhibit more mild symptoms. Analyzing whole genomes may identify variations and specific genes that affect response to #sarscov2 , and enable #drugdiscovery and #drugrepurposing.
